As a lover of the Sacred Mother I have been so excited to see the emergence of so many programs for healing and awakening and connecting to the divine feminine.
There are still so many ways that women are being oppressed, and in North America this may not seem so obvious anymore. I mean, women work in every field imaginable now right?! The status of women in other parts of the world is still horrible though.
I believe that this is because we have not been working with the divine masculine. I feel like women have worked so hard on finding their power, and taking it back from men, that men have become the negative focus... the catalyst to fight and ultimately the enemy.
How can men being the enemy be good??
How will we relate to our sons as mothers if we hate men?
How will we relate to men in the workplace if we compete against them? Who will be the father of our children if we hate them?
If we don't love our brothers, fathers, lovers and men in our community; how will their hearts soften? How will they grow to love themselves in a healthy way, and feel open enough to communicate with us?
i know it might not be easy for some of us to open our hearts and trust the masculine. I also know that men are hurting too. The thing with men hurting is they do not have the freedom that women do to open up and talk about it. I have spoken to many men who say they feel like they need to cry, but they don't know how! Good Lord, my daughters and I cry when we are happy... we cry when we are sad... we cry when we are angry.
Crying allows pent up emotions to flow out of us so that we feel at ease in our bodies. I cannot even imagine not knowing how to cry!!!
I have spoken to men who have told me that sex is an experience that is isolated to the
genitals for them; and that when they allowed women to caress them, hold them and kiss their bodies they began to realize that sex was also love. This was one of the most profound things I had ever heard. It explained rape, assault and the shut down men have to their feminine emotions.
Think about how much time women spend getting spa treatments, anointing their bodies, hugging each other. We have all kinds of sacred touch in our lives and so sex becomes just a deeper expression of sacred touch. What kind of sacred touch do men engage in?
The only time men get touched is during sex really. This does not mean that they don't need touch; but it means that they might be so hungry for it, but so oppressed in realizing that they need it, that they do not know how to respond when they get it. In many countries the art of love making does not even exist. It is simply penetration of the male organ. What if men could open themselves up to sacred touch like women give each other? How would this impact their ability to connect intimately to their lovers?
My guides have shown me that men need to learn how to love their bodies just as much as women do. They need to allow themselves to soften and feel. Feeling is just as masculine as it is feminine. If we encourage men to be unfeeling, the result will be a very narcissistic patriarchy. There will be competition and arrogance and anger. Without the allowance to feel there will be segregation, oppression and high expectations for perfection.
My guides have also shown me that we are gently being guided to blend away a hard masculine and feminine and be an embodiment of the divine male and female. Be the living yin yang. They have shown me that many people will be born on earth who do not feel male or female. They are the harbingers of a new way of living. They are seeded with the knowing that we are one. It is our purpose to love one another. In the beginning there was only essence and essence divided into two so it could experience touch, love, companionship and embodiment.
A bio product of this duality though, is segregation, the idea of opposites. The truth is; we are not opposites, we are mirror images. We have the same basic needs of love and understanding!
I feel our challenge moving toward the year 2020 is equality. The two twos and two zeros show us that the two are one.
In Hinduism there is a deity called Ardhanareswara or naranari where Shiva, the divine masculine, and Shakti the divine feminine share a body.
The male is on the right and the female on the left. When they are joined together we can have an idea - the masculine principal and birth it in the world - the feminine principal. When the artistic side of self and the doing side of self work in harmony we can create shift. When there is harmony of the opposites we have balance, stability and peace.
Let us work together to heal from patriarchy and find a love for the masculine and feminine within ourselves, so that we can love these principals equally in the manifest world and create harmony on our planet!
